Corrections policy
How Pakistan Pays fixes mistakes, records status changes and handles company responses.
How to report an error
Use the contact page. Tell us what is wrong and, if you can, link a source. We aim to review every report within 48 hours.
How we fix mistakes
- In place, in the open. We fix the article and add a dated Correction or Update note at the end saying what changed. We don't silently edit numbers.
- Status changes are recorded. When a label changes (for example Reported → Confirmed, or Reported → Disputed), the entry keeps a dated history line.
- Company responses are added with their date. If a company denies a report, the denial is printed next to it.
- Takedown requests for factual, sourced reporting are reviewed, not granted automatically.
- Every correction is listed below.
Corrections log
- 9 Oct 2026: News tracker: Punjab Parks and Horticulture Authorities (PHAs). Added to the tracker as Confirmed (official meeting reported by APP and Radio Pakistan, 9 Oct 2026). Approval only; no job advertisement yet.
- 9 Oct 2026: News tracker: Faisalabad power-loom sector. Added to the tracker as Reported (Dawn, 7 Oct 2026). The 100,000+ jobs figure is attributed to a union leader.
- 9 Oct 2026: News tracker: e& (Telenor Pakistan + Ufone merger). Added to the tracker as Reported (Business Recorder, 6 Jul 2026). The company declined to comment; it did not deny the report.
- 9 Oct 2026: News tracker: Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD). Added to the tracker as Reported (Dawn, 8 Oct 2026): recruitment halted until further orders.
- 6 Oct 2026: News tracker: Motive. Added the global figure (about 251 roles, around 5%) from the same employee-shared Reddit breakdown. Status unchanged: Unconfirmed.
